About Rankfolk
Rankfolk helps small business owners and contractors get more customers online, with plain English guides based on real client work.
Why Rankfolk exists
Most marketing advice is written for big companies with big budgets. Small business owners get buried in jargon, tool pitches and "growth hacks" that don't apply to a roofing company, a dental clinic or a local cleaner.
Rankfolk is different. Every guide answers one practical question an owner actually has, like how to show up on Google Maps, what a website needs to turn visitors into calls, or which tools are worth paying for. The goal is simple:helping small businesses get more customers online.
Who writes it
Rankfolk is written by Burhanuddin Kapasi, founder of Mago Labs.
Burhanuddin spent 8+ years in banking, fintech and insurance before founding Mago Labs, where he builds websites and runs SEO and Google Business Profile work for small businesses and contractors in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. On Rankfolk he shares what actually brings in calls and customers.
Before building websites full time, Burhanuddin spent over eight years in sales and partnerships at banks, fintech companies and an insurer. That background shapes how Rankfolk is written: focused on results, honest about costs, and clear about what is worth your time.
How we write our guides
- Based on real work. Advice comes from building and ranking real small business websites.
- Checked against official sources. Google's own documentation comes first for anything about Search or Maps.
- Kept up to date. Guides are reviewed and updated when platforms change.
- Honest about money. Some links are affiliate links. They never decide what we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure.
